The first annual Auburn Writers Conference will be held October 8-9, 2010 at the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center in Auburn, Alabama.

This year's theme, The Child on the Page, focuses on writing for and about children. Valuable for writers in any genre, The Child on the Page will feature keynote speaker Julianna Baggott, agent Holly Root, and award-winning writers Peter Campion, Elizabeth Dulemba, Rachel Hawkins, Peter Huggins, Irene Latham, and Judy Troy.

Small-group workshops, panel discussions, and readings will give established and emerging writers perspective, skills, and community.
